WJ Professional Expediting Co, Inc. was founded in 1997 and presently employs 7 people and are growing to meet the needs of our clients. We handle all types of construction projects ranging from a minor fit-out of existing space to the construction of a commercial high rise building. We represent over thirty (30) clients consulting them through the municipal filing process to meet and retain compliance for their properties.
Our services include zoning code consultation, Building Management, New Buildings, Alterations, permits, violation removal, letters of completion, certificates of occupancy and certificates of approval. Our understanding of the policies and procedures of the New York City agencies gives our clients the confidence that their goals will be met in a timely fashion
Qualifications or Eligibility:
No Experience Necessary. The applicant will learn the filing procedures and policies of the New York City Department of Buildings in addition to the other city agencies to assist in the coordination of various real estate development projects. The applicant will ensure application processing, tracking projects status and updating information internally and to clients.

• Assist in the coordination and preparation all of the necessary documents and plans for application processing • Maintaining/ Updating internal tracking logs and reports • Follow-up on projects using DOB application numbers for status updates • Data entry and filing • Diverse clerical/administrative duties • Visit Department of Buildings and other city agencies on occasion to follow-up on submittals • Perform other duties as assigned
Interns should be able to work 15-20 hours per week
