The NYPD Partners in Education Internship program allows unpaid interns to work in the NYPD in exchange for college credits. The program places College and Graduate Interns in various commands throughout the five boroughs. The hours will vary depending upon the course requirements mandated by each college.
The Partners in Education Internship Program is designed to complement academic study with hands-on experience and help develop invaluable job readiness skills.

• Special Victims Unit
• Internal Affairs Bureau
• Patrol Services Bureau
• Transit Bureau
• Housing Bureau
• Legal Bureau
• Budget Unit
• Communications Division
• Crime Analysis & Program Planning
|Qualifications or Eligibility:||Students are required to:
• Be enrolled full-time
• Maintain good academic standing
• Students will complete an internship form and select three commands they would like to be placed in
• All chosen interns will receive a modified background investigation and fingerprint check as a pre-requisite of participation
