Liberal Arts Concentration

The GENERAL Liberal Arts Concentration is the most popular of the Liberal Arts concentrations. This concentration provides a broad array of classes from a variety of disciplines.

If you are seeking to transfer to a four-year college or wish to enter the workforce after Kingsborough, you will benefit from this concentration. You will be very well rounded in your knowledge and skills.

The curriculum for this concentration is different depending on when you begin/began your Liberal Arts curriculum. However, as an example of the broad array of classes which is typical of a Liberal Arts curriculum, those who began in Fall 2013 and opted into the Pathways program, will learn from disciplines such as:

  • Music
  • Theater
  • Media and Film Studies
  • Speech
  • Literature
  • Philosophy
  • American History
  • World History or Anthropology
  • American Politics
  • Sociology
  • Psychology
