The Art Club at Kingsborough offers students a glimpse into the professional world of art and design. We organize campus events and lectures featuring successful creative professionals working in the fields of graphic design, animation, illustration, photography, fine arts and more.
During these events, students get a chance to communicate with guest speakers, ask questions and receive guidance regarding their artistic field of interest, which for many will be their future profession.
We have four events/ lectures throughout the calendar year and one end-of-semester party. Club officers are elected at the beginning of the fall semester (and sometimes again in the spring). Regular club meetings are held every other Tuesday. Students are informed about the days, times and locations of the meetings though Art Club posters. There are no pre-requisites to becoming a member of the
club--everyone is welcome. Just come to a meeting.

The Kingsborough Animation Club is a great way for students to get animated! The club visits animation studios, has professional animators as guest speakers, attends animation screenings, and more. In the past, club members have visited Titmouse Animation (creators of shows for Adult Swim) and Rauch Bros. Animation. We've attended the Animation Show of Shows at SVA, and the annual ASIFA animation awards ceremony. It's a great way to learn more about what the professional industry is all about and make connections.

The photography club is a wonderful opportunity for all students who love photography! Whether they have taken a photography class or not, all are welcome to join. The Sculpture Club at Kingsborough is a student organization for anyone interested in art and particularly sculpture. Sculpture club is a way that students can become more involved in sculpture and have access to things they may not get from classes, such as: guest lecturers, museum and gallery tours/foundry tours/studio visits/sculpture demonstrations/presentation of work/etc.
The club hosts guest speakers who are successful working sculptors. This is a chance for students to see the artist's work, ask questions, and get helpful tips or advice.
Everyone is welcome to join the Sculpture Club and there are no prerequisites. The Sculpture Club meets in room S157 (sculpture studio). There will be flyers and announcements when the club meets. We have several events/ lectures throughout the calendar year and one end-of-semester party. Club officers are elected at the beginning of the fall semester (and sometimes again in the spring). Regular club meetings are held every other Wednesday.
The next meeting starts on November 5th, 4pm-5pm, room S157.
