Maureen C. Minielli’s areas of
academic focus include presidential rhetoric, the history of communication
studies as an academic discipline, and communication and technology. Prior to joining KCC in 2006, Dr. Minielli
taught at Alabama State University (AL), St. Joseph’s College (IN), St. Cloud
State University (MN) and IUPUI (IN).
She received her B.A. in Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh,
and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Speech Communication from the Pennsylvania State
University. She actively participates
in the New York State Communication, Eastern Communication Association,
National Communication Association and the Russian Communication
Association. She is currently working
on several projects involving presidential crisis rhetoric and former President
Richard M. Nixon. She has taught
numerous communication classes and teaches public speaking (honors and
writing-intensive), voice and articulation, and speaking and listening
classes at KCC. |
