Here 'Wii" go again

Nintendo’s Wii machine has plenty of advertising.
This time it’s for free.
Narcotics officers during a raid of a convicted drug dealer in Polk County, Florida, paused their search to play a little Wii bowling.
They were originally executing a search warrant but after a few minutes into their search they discovered the Wii machine. They decided to pick up the handheld remotes to the game and give it a go. After two strikes the officers are seen jumping up and down and ecstatic about their success.
Too bad those strikes would go against them.
The homeowner’s computer was loaded with a security camera that recorded the officers’ every move during their nine hour raid.
That’s ironic.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said, “I’m not pleased that they played that Wii bowling game. That is not appropriate conduct at a search warrant. But I am less pleased with the supervision that didn't walk in and say, turn that off. That's what supervision should have done." Calling it an embarrassment he assured the press that the search warrant would still be valid but the officers’ reputation would not be as an internal investigation has been launched. |
