It’s Called Halloween, Not “HO”lloween
Kim Gill
If you’ve ever seen the movie “Mean Girls” with Lindsey Lohan, you may recall the Halloween scene where all the characters were preparing for the holiday.
In the movie, Lindsey’s character Cady was a sixteen year old home schooled student who lived in Africa most of her life.
After she turned sixteen, her parents decided to move back home where she started high school.
Everything was a new experience for Cady, but she suddenly realized the difference between what she referred to as the “regular world” and “girl world.”
On every Halloween Cady states that “In the regular world, Halloween is when children dress up in costumes, and beg for candy. In girl world, Halloween is the one night a year a girl can dress like a total slut, and no other girls can say anything about it.” Well I guess the message of the “Girl World’s” interpretation of Halloween is understood very clearly. Since now most woman decide to use Halloween as an excuse to walk outside nearly naked.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s okay if a girl wants to dress sexy on Halloween, but I also believe that there is a visible line drawn between “sexy” and “whore-ish.” Girls, if you like to show a little cleavage, then go ahead. But girls if you want to go outside with no shirt on, no bra on, and have electric tape over your nipples, then you should go back in your house, and try to find the rest of your costume.
I am not joking people, this was something I actually witnessed last Halloween. It was a horrible sight, and I couldn’t make out what this woman was dressing up as.
The only conclusion I could come to was that she just wanted to be as close to naked as possible.
Ladies, I think it’s cool if we want to embrace our hotness, but some ladies just need to bring it down a notch, or ten.
Your body should be respected, especially on Halloween when all kinds of weirdos are outside, some of whom might not be wearing a costume, if you catch my drift.
Not only do you have to worry about the “weirdos” you also might have to worry about the police.
As you know, the police don’t take kindly to nudity.
So if you’re thinking about walking out naked, ladies, beware.
With all that said, I wish you all have a happy, safe, and well dressed Halloween.
