As a former student at Kingsborough Community College starting in 1999, Sheryl A. Williams received a B.A in Television and Radio and an M.S in Television and Radio Management and Programming at the City University of New York - Brooklyn College. Since 2006, she has had an extensive academic career at the City University of New York, teaching courses in Developmental English, Freshman Composition, English Literature, and Mass Media.
Presently, Professor Williams is completing her doctoral work at Howard University, Washington, D.C. Her research attempts to understand how digital communication technologies on learning management systems, such as Blackboard, create interactive spaces for college instructors and millennial learners. A part of her teaching philosophy states that the elevation of thought can only be heightened if the mind is molded to deconstruct the modes of digital technology that influence learning.
