Edward Rohrlich


Biography

Edward Rohrlich functions as liaison to faculty and administration, supervising classroom useage, inventory, contracting vendors, and the development of learning materials in conjunction with the faculty. His technical responsibilities include the day-to-day operations of building T-8 on behalf of the department.  Edward is responsible for the design and installation of the electronic music studios. He acted as production stage manager for musical events as well as the technical director for all concert series events. Ed Recorded and mixed all live departmental music events. Edward was the Director and Producer of the Live Concert Series (Music at Kingsborough) which included the execution of concert programs for the Department of Communications and Performing Arts.           

Edward Rohrlich is an accomplished Broadway sound designer, theater company manager and professional musician. his work has been seen and heard here in the United States as well as Europe and Asia. Some of Edward’s past performances include the following:

Drums/Percussion, Broadway and off-Broadway: Tony and Tina’s Wedding, Flower Drum Song, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sideshow, Evita, If Love Were All, Summer of ’69, Steven Sondheim’s Saturday Night, Someone's Kissing Daddy, Newsies (Walt Disney), Back from Hollywood (Lincoln Center production). Steven Scott Orchestra, Nassau Symphony Orchestra, Heights Players Theater, WPA Theater, Actors Playhouse, Gateway Playhouse, Goodspeed and Pocono Playhouse.

Commercial Jingles: Benihana, Footlocker, NYNEX, Bantam Books, CNN and HBO.

Assistant Company manager: Evita 1988-1990, 1997 World tour Wolfgang Bocksch Concerts GMBH.

Associate Sound Design Consultant: All God’s Dangers at the Lambs Theater (Broadway), Park Playhouse Theater Festival, Albany NY.

Recording engineer: Barge Music concerts

Music Editor: Albany Records, Soundspells Productions (Classical), Hipbone Records (Dance/House).

Recording Studio Design: Sundragon Studios NYC, Hipbone Studios NYC & Brooklyn.
